I was sitting in my chair unwinding and thinking about how good God is.
Everyone has limitations but God gives us the power and incredible ability to receive His glory in spite of them.Tonight, I am thankful for the Holy Spirit that He has given me. I have so enjoyed my preparation and study of Acts 2 for this week's sermon and will take with me, into this week, the great assurance that His Spirit is within me, though I don't deserve it; That He will use me, though I am so very limited in my abilities; and He will receive glory from me, though I am merely human.

hey this may be alittle off the subject but... i don't see the correlation to the basketball picture and the post? Is there a biblical analogy I'm missing... :)

Buddy - Really enjoyed your sermon Sunday. Sure hated that you felt rushed, though. I think I'm not alone in saying "unplug the clock". It wouldn't have bothered me to stay another hour or so!
Yeah...unplug the clock!!! If the kid's get restless we will break out the cookies. If the preacher goes past 12:30, I'll get up and start passing out food. It is biblical :) The crowds stayed so long with Jesus that He had to come up with food to feed them. Or we can always send Donna back to the kitchen for another round of breakfast burritos :) yum, yum! Time, shmime...we want to hear God's Word!!!
Hey Buddy, Looks like you and Mike are getting a pretty good workout on the basketball court.
I have to say I agree with the ladies, (I can't believe I said that),oh well I guess I can't back out now. The clock thing has to go. Don't look at the crowd,go with the Spirit. Can you see Jesus telling the people, ok I won't go past 12:00, because I know I will lose you after that. Don't you think that as they sat there at the feet of Jesus, he knew that all where listening to him, but only a few heard the meaning of his message. I think everyone was ready to stay all day, I know I was.
Man I feel like I am getting left out. Realy Buddy keep up the good work. I thank God for you guys every day, And I must agree get rid of the clock take your time, relax, and share the word as God lays it on you. Thanks for the feeding. Love ya my brother, Jimmy
